Tv licence

What with the BBCs incessant assault on animal agricultural and overuse of the word "vegan", I am seriously considering stopping my TV licence. Has anyone any thoughts on making the leap?
Did it long time ago , between their constant assault on farming and harbouring pedophiles their is no way I will ever contribute to that organisation it’s rotten to the core .

No crapovision for years so no TV licence. Out side all the time except winter....plenty on YouTube etc to watch on long winters nights.
Rely on TFF for interesting posts and best of all the witty comments are very entertaining.....thanks all!

ditched my licence last year because of the vegan propaganda. just filled in the online form, job done, haven't heard a word from them since
They won't leave you alone for long, Haven't watched live TV for years and we've notified them several times that we don't require a licence, but they seem to think you should keep confirming your position every year or so... so now we just ignore them and receive a threatening letter every single month in life. They've been sending them for years now.

Same here , we look after mail for someone else who has no tv and both had threatening letters for many years, they are scum of the earth imo .

I would feel a bit sorry for Gary Lineker and would worry for his finances if the BBC collapsed, but apart from that I agree with you.

What other industry gets its own programme 6 days a week ?
If you muppets are incapable of making constructive use of the free advertizing time then that's your problem, not Aunty's.

I was getting these on such a regular basis I called the number and complained. The property was empty and the previous Tenant had not a Licence for 3 years...

I wonder if there is a case that this is harassment?

Careful what you wish for, you'll miss it when it's all gone commercial with programmes between the ads. At £3 /week it's worth every penny to have ad free TV. Like many on here, I've travelled a bit and I'd say UK TV is easily the best in the world, and in our gloomy old winter nights we need some cheer..........:)
I agree... Having seen the absolute shite on offer in the US, I am pleased that the BBC has a good choice with (mostly) no adverts!
