TW25 lower lift arm seal

Have a friend here that has an oil leak out of the lower left lift arm pivot pin. A light google would suggest the right one is easy, I am assuming the shaft goes through the body to the left side. Which makes the left side a pain in the 4srse because it's connected to a control shaft in the back end.

has anyone done one or know about it? Would be appreciated.

Did one with another chap in a field many, many years ago, top cover off then reach down and undo grub screw on what cnh call an arm then shaft can be pulled out you may have to remove wheel as well make certain you can see the cut marks in end of shaft and anchor as they must line up when refitting and don't forget to drain oil first.

We probably still have a workshop manual somewhere. If he's going to have a go at it I'll try and look it out if it will help.

Thanks for the offer. Turns out I got the sides mixed up and it’s the right hand one leaking so it should be a relatively easy job. Not often that happens.

we’ll have a go and see how we get on over the next week or so.

That's a better problem👍
You'll probably find there's a lot of play on the splines where the bottom link hanger goes on - makes it much easier to get it off.

Still straight forward to do. Take of link arms first open of the right handy side, take of the coller, slide the shaft over a little to the left only the width of a screwdriver as you can cause the draft lever to come off. Put the o ring in hot water and put it over the bracket, will take a bit of stretching . Then stick on the right hand one , put back on the coller, prob have to squeeze it back in then.

you could be missing a fibre washer if very loose , I always put the new o ring over the old one . Careful not to damage it putting it in.
