two questions

1/ what are the rules regarding removing a piece of hedge to make a new gateway?

2/ any recs for a land agent in east anglia for dealing with NE re stewardship alteration?

1. No problem unless for a roadside access in which case you 'might' need planning permission, on the other hand in the right place jdi.
Internal hedges a gateway width is well within the amount you are allowed to remove every year.
2. Not my area...

Upto 20m ok to remove. As above about roadsides.
The bit of RPA advice I recall seeing is when making a new gateway and removing hedge the old gateway should be replanted! Not sure if that's a requirement thou!

Get it done before end of Feb.
