Is there any way we can add a log burner with back boiler to our kitchen which could be tied into our heating system which is an oil fired combi boiler with a pressurised system? Boiler in the garage.
I’m sure iv been told before it can’t be done with a pressurised system but can anyone tell me why not/what we would have to change to achieve it.
Been in house 10 years, boiler was new then, house is pretty poorly insulated so we get through about 3000litres of kero a year maybe more. We have a log burner in sitting room but due to the shape of the room the heat doesn’t seem to travel far.
Want to keep the oil system as back up in the event we are away or unable to feed wood into a stove for any reason. Ample supply of firewood on farms seems daft not to make use of it.
