Tyne tunnel toll ripoff

good to see you posting, I hope you are enjoying life on OrkneyšŸ‘

Yes we are "sort of" enjoying retirement, but miss the livestock. I do have a few wormeries, but it is not the same.

The reason I post so little is because of the downright nastiness of some posters on the forum - particularly the Anti-British, Anti-Brexit stance of those who do not live in the UK. There are others who like to make unpleasant remarks about other posters. You know those to whom I refer.

And just for the football fans Mr Gasgoine now resides in Leicester and goes to the same poncy hairdresser as me.
The only reason I go to said hairdressers is you get free beer while you are in the chair and I have factored in I can make the cost reasonable if I get enough down my throat.
I remember him tearing us a new one at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup a looong time ago, he didn`t reckons its all a bit of blur.

Much to my delight I've just been through the tunnel heading into Newcastle. Ā£1.90 for a car. Lots of signs telling you how to pay, no problems.
Came from Whitby along the coast past Saltburn, lovely drive, if it's your crops you should be proud as most look excellent. Ours down south have dried out and are stressed.
Odd way to get to Newcastle from Whitby. Shouldnā€™t really have needed to go through the tunnel .

Itā€™s called ā€œThe Scenic Routeā€ā€¦.well sort ofā€¦A19 is the first route North you come to heading East from Whitbyā€¦after that it depends when you want to be in Newcastleā€¦can be a right Jim Jam up the Western Bypass.
Not quite as Scenic as the original posters proposed route that is the reason for their visitā€¦.
Or was The Tunnel nothing more than a diversion to attempt and sample the delights of extending this thread even further.šŸ˜‰
