Tyre cleats

Noticed the other day that the inner edge of the tyre cleats were pulling up the soil that was destined for the front furrow, it was very dry, it seemed to be heaving it up and breaking as it went.
I have the pressures as low as I dare, I guess I need to remove some rubber.
Any other ideas or suggestions?

Take the leading edge off and make it rounded, this reduces it and makes less of a mess
It's the inside edge, the one that would be up against the furrow wall, they are BKT tyres and they have quite a cleat leading toward the tyre wall, as the tyre rotates the trailing edge of it lifts the soil.
I guess in damper conditions it would not be an issue (or less of one!)

oh right well take some off the inside,
I have not done it, but I would if it was doing what you say

Not come across that one on rears before. Back in the 60’s there were some fronts that had a tread pattern on the sidewalls and in some conditions they were prone to doing that and then more pushing it down rather than lifting it.
Just check that your plough is in the right position on the cross shaft. If you are putting too much pressure on the rear landside to get the front furrow the right width then the damage is done before you get there. Furrow side crank should be just marginally forward of centre with the plough running the right width front furrow.

Brand new tyres, shallow work, fronts too wide or check chains can cause this. If the tyres are the correct way, the culprit is the flipping trailing inside lug edge.
