There was a plant in the uk designed to burn tyres, but I believe someone said it closed due to technical issues. You’d think it wouldn’t be beyond mankind’s ingenuity to make it work.

The French solution is good,would be quite difficult getting a big rear tyre on one of the motorway bridge cameras though.

Farmer_joe, these tyres are being baled up as we speak and will be exported to India where they go through a process called Pyrolosis which converts all the rubber to oil and gas whilst leaving steel wire and the original carbon black. - Alex (Range Rubber UK Limited)

Its a shame we don't do our own pyrolosis in this country with all our waste plastics and rubber.

We do now, small scale at the moment but it's gaining traction.

That's interesting. There is a lot of energy in tyres and farm plastics it makes sense to use it and it ought to have some value. Where are they operating and what are they looking for?
