I know its been mentioned before in numerous threads,,Is it as good as it supposed to be .
Im fed up buying wheelbarrows with tube tyres and 10 minutes after they get a puncture ,,tryed solid wheels but they are a nightmare to push full of concrete ,,just thinking of the tyre weld stuff in cans for emergency repairs ,,will it seal if something like thorns go through

I Find OKO is OK in tractor tyres, provided you use enough of it. For quads, wheel barrows and all my mountain bikes I use the special bicycle tubeless sealant. It is much thinner and FAR more effective than the OKO on small wheels. I have removed a bike tyre which has been inflated for 12 months and pulled about 15 thorns out of it.

The Stans NO-Tubes is the market leader.

The litre bottle will do 4 quad tyres.

The small bottles they sometimes have in Aldi of "Slime" when they do the cycling offers works OK too. I put a bottle (£2.99) in the front of the tractor and it cured the slow leak from a poor rim seal

I swap the bog standard barrow wheels which are paper thing with a tyre the same size meant for a small trailer, never have punctures and the tires outlast the barrow so just move them onto the new barrow when needed.

Have put OKO in a ride on mower tyres, have a lot of thorn hedges around the grass, not had a puncture in 2 years now when it used to be every other week!

I remember "on the other side" a similar thread . Tinman (I think) said that ordinary white wood glue with 50% water was good . Just break the bead with the tyre flat to the ground and pour it in . He said that he'd done industrial loader tyres that way with no problem . Never tried it myself mind .

How do get the oko into the tyre ,,seen a big syringe with an adapter on ebay that says its for filling through the valve

Valve stem at 12 o'clock, take the valve out, let deflate, pull tube out bottle, screw onto valve stem and squeeze in correct amount for tyre size. Valve back in and reinflate as normal.

I have even fixed existing punctures this way rather than getting them repaired ... :)

If you bought 20l would you need the pump or could it be poured in the valve like oko?

I've done a couple of sets of ATV tyres and several bits & bobs that go on the quad, so fairly small quantities (5-600ml) needed in each. It's a bit thick to put in with the squirt bottle supplied, so have used a 60ml syringe and plastic tube instead. I'd definitely use a pump for bigger tyres.

It sealed quad tyres that had several thorns in them, and tyre pressures have remained unchanged until the tyres were worn out.(y)
