well he missed the bandwagon on this P2P crowdfunding lark, but never one to look a gift horse in the mouth he's hoovered up the 'investors' funds anyway.

months down the line apparantly 'interested parties are considering making offers' on both -

are those waitrose pigs still doing a fly past?
"Interested parties are considering making an offer" or is this Des ducking and weaving as per norm. The history of those updates certainly show he has done a lot of that recently. According to the loans status report interest is accruing - payable if enough capital is received!

Dream on boys, they are overvalued assets in the first place so forget the interest, will they get the capital repaid is the real question?

Peter Williams appeal has been lodged. Not to have appealed would have been a direct admission of guilt .
Those who abuse others never admit to or take responsibility for their actions.
No date set yet I gather.I rather think that those who tried to make complaints to the SRA about Peter Williams should contact them, asking, what they intend to do with their information (which previously they refused to take)should his appeal be successful . Things have only come this far because Wilsons Law were prepared to report him and the only way the SRA can deal with this type of report is by way of tribunal.Very easy for them to kick a load of disgruntled borrowers claims into the long grass.

Heard Paul and Nikki Turner, who were behind the exposure of HBOS, on Radio 4 (BH 9-10am) this morning
It seems that their relentless publicity may be finally bringing Lloyds to the table about compensation to the victims.
I increasingly get the idea that HBOS was to be the "token prosecution" and there will be no more. Of course they didn't really want to do that one.
The powers that be have known about the UK scandal since 2006, and continually swept it under the carpet.
Why else the "no crime", since when was bribery not a crime, or forgery and false representation.
I cant help feeling that the TVP PCC statement about costs was actually a message saying no we have been told we cant investigate any more "banksters".

I think the HBOS case has opened the door just enough to throw a shaft of light on those who have been living in that darkened room for so long.Perhaps now they have seen the light they might accept that the filthy defaulters weren't exactly that, just ordinary people put into that position by a greedy few.
Totally agree that the authorities didn't want to do HBOS,and were somewhat wrongfooted, but the damage has been done, the dam is cracked.Private criminal prosecutions are now probably the only way forward, but that isn't all bad, court proceedings delivered to the family home, singled out from the herd, that will be the test.

Can't condone their activities but the situation they were placed in might be quite understandable to readers of this thread. Let's put it this way,we know who the mortgage payments were going to.
Not the first clients of Toad and Co to be on the receiving end of an enforced H.M.P. detention. Has to be more there if only who did their cash flow and what inclusive services were "sold"?

Trying to find out more details about there case and if they where represented by a barrister at the trial or whether there will be an appeal. Seems to be very few details apart from the press release which smacks of a cover up. As you say Red Bull a bit to much of a coincidence for my liking.

In consideration of the sum involved the sentences appear to be very 'friendly'. I'm wondering if the judge imposed reporting restrictions, I realise age would perhaps be a consideration but apart from that a lot of loot for a minimal penalty.

Do the maths, represents approx. £2M net taxable inputs p.a. for a dairy farm. Why did it take so long to find it, and why so long after the business was finished?
Was someone else doing the books for them and the money going into an account someone else controlled?
You have to wonder.

Judge does not have so much leeway in sentencing these days.
They were done no doubt on "strict liability", did they plead guilty? No chance of influencing things then.
