Think everyone has a line which limits what they allow the government to make them do.
People just draw them in different places.
Think covid has illustrated this quite well.

With this year being a census year is every one happy to fill out there census forms or do you feel it’s an attack of your liberty?
I’m happy to do it .

My then wife did it when we were just married, so 81 or 82. In those days you went to every house in the region you had, had to speak to them, leave the form, then return to collect it. Well, circa 10% of folk made the job a right pita. Pay would of been very good without the few time wasters.

No problem with a census

The people who have a problem with it 'cos they think the Govt is tracking them have mobile phones and log onto the web all the time. Mobile phones can track you to within a few hundred metres and a computer can be hacked at any time-even when switched off!

They are the ones bleating about it on social media...!

I put Jedi as my religion for the Australian census in 2001 when I was there. Perhaps I should put "no tiller" this time for sh*ts and giggles

I find the prying into sexual preference & 'gender orientation' annoying, it's just pandering to woke whiners, a passing fashion and no more; and I'm minded that the state has no right to such information.

I also think it is hypocritical. The 'authorities', all major political parties, the MSM and others all keep telling us that everyone is equal and that we should all treat and be treated the same regardless of whatever, so there's no need for this info'.

If these questions weren't voluntary, I'll admit that I'd very probably break the law in refusing to answer them.
