Yup, watched Wimbledon, one mask for every 50.000. # 4th wave, here we come.
Civil liberties have hardly been affected over the last few months. Numpties can still go on UK holidays, watch f**king sport, go to the pub ( albeit not visit the bar  ) go to the beach, wander about the countryside, buy food.
Fed up of hearing about Portugal, sporting events, hospitality industry. FFS. Folks are still dying.

Think government advice & guidance changes with political needs, to start with masks were not needed because they couldn’t get any, then they were essential, now they are not.
Now with them having lost all control of the virus all essential previous advice has now been abandoned!
We are on a very slippery slope where blame for an approaching catastrophe is being transferred away from government stupidity & onto the general public.

By "political needs" you mean to court popularity?

Spain had 10,675 yesterday & you can be sure the blame for it is heading our way!
  • The number of cases in Spain has spiked, with more than 32,000 new infections announced on Monday – up from single figures announced the previous week. Authorities say young people have been most affected, with 640 cases per 100,000 among the 20-29 age group. Around 19m people – or 40% of the country – have received two doses of a Covid vaccine so far

Meanwhile

Germany is lifting a Covid-related travel ban on people from the UK and four other variant-hit countries.
The restrictions, which also applied to people from Portugal, Russia, India and Nepal, will be relaxed from Wednesday.
Visitors who are fully vaccinated will also not be required to quarantine.
