You are assuming doctors dont study any more than they have to do to graduate which is completely untrue ,nutrition is an industry full of cranks and operators with a commercial agenda , I`d take a doctors advice before anyone else's who doesn't have at least an MSc in nutrition and only so long as they weren't working in the food supply industry.

As far as I'm aware, GPS have minimal training in that area, still banging on about "Eat well plates" etc

There's nothing wrong with the concept, more that it's not actually a thing, so it's an utterly made up title with no (as far as I'm aware) academic or professional training behind it. "Nutritionist", however, is a thing that he could be (but isn't).
Medical practitioners have almost zero nutritional training, which is why I tend to take their advice with a pinch of salt (of which they probably would not approve).

Looking, it appears you can qualify in the US (no surprises there) as an "holistic doctor" under various whole body specialities. Ekburg appears to be a chiropractor and nutritionist.

Are you in a home ? only I`d never heard of Eat Well Plates until you mentioned them .

They are on the wall in GP surgeries, hospitals etc, and also they are on the secondary biology curriculum, which I taught, for a time.

I wish he'd led with those two - "Holistic Doctor" sounds like a certificate you can send off for (for a fee) over the internet.
