The figures are correlated from three main sources.

Systematics International, these are for all import/exports into/out of the Country, these figures are supposed to be confidential to members only : https://www.systematics-int.co.uk/our-services/uk-agricultural-registration-data-exchange/

Each supplier/manufacturer supplies monthly delivery to dealers numbers to the AEA, who as part of there membership receive a monthly market status return from the AEA

Actual registrations with DVLA, however not all tractors are registered, in addition some are exported again, so it's a combination of all the figures and some market knowledge together that make up market shares for each make.

Do you buy extra warranty with the fendts or just hope that regularly servicing will stop the big bills?

we usually have the 2 or 3 years warranty when new then service religiously after that

if you are going to have issues with a new machine its will usually be in the first coupe of years in my experience - beyond that if looked after well they are good for many years

Correct - and our published figures for the 2019 market were very close to those released by the AEA this week. RD

Classic Tractor publishes the figures for the last 12 months. They have a chap that goes through the DVLA figures and he extracts the data. The big manufacturers surely have someone doing something very similar and I believe there are firms offering such market share data, plus they will know deals they have lost and won to get a handle on how things are shaping up.
