Just goes to show what nonsense is talked in here:LOL:
MF the biggest rise in percentage sales yet you’d think they were on their last legs according to some.
Thought Valtra would have been up by more given the number the ex MF dealer in eastern Scotland took out of all makes in that period.
Surprised to see Claas increasing too.

Kubota .......

how many years before they top that chart then ?
They certainly are doing well. I remember seeing a kubota at a show mabe 15-20 years ago. Dont know the number but it had a powershift box same as current mgx series around the 100hp. I thought who in thier right mind would buy that? We had a kubota demo last year and i must say i loved it. Public perception of them is changing and i think they are the 1 to watch

If you watch some makes they go up and down a bit depending on dealers and how hard they are pushed. You might get a big run on a brand for a year but if they have issue when it comes to replacing them there's a flip to the next in fashion brand.
It will be interesting to watch MFs sales in a few years time.
Remember these figures are for 2019.

Would you buy a second hand one and be confident you could get the parts and the mechanics with knowledge on them.

I watch a YouTube channel called Western truck and tractor repair, Warren's getting a bit stressed with the change in government there but he's a good mechanic.
He's a bit upset with Kubota at the moment.
As a dealer, any thoughts on their design and ease of service.
Front axles, drive lines and engines seem to be a problem?
I realise he's just one guy.

Parts backup shouldnt be an issue. They are a big long established company that sells loads of diggers so parts distribution isnt going to be an issue. As for thier engines giving trouble. If that was correct why would lots of other companies be fitting them? Theyv got thier eyes set on making big inroads into agricultural machinery and thier making progress as can be seen by buying out the kverneland group. They are filthy rich and could buy whatever they want to progress thier business

For small stuff and construction machines I tend to agree but I don't think we know enough about the larger ag tractors yet. How many of the higher spec range have you seen second hand?
As for working on them I've watched Warren on YouTube struggle with the M135x tractors and they seem very hard and time consuming to work on.
Maybe he needs factory training though?
The big tractors in North America are a tie in with Versatile (i think) and aren't Kubota engines so may be easier to work on?

I watch all his YouTube films and I’m really pretty dissapointed with all the Deere issues.he really has a moan about a lot of the problems encountered.

I don’t think we will see an M8 for quite a while, but I think it will have the Kubota 7.5 litre 6 cyl that they launched last year, but the new M6 will be a great addition to our range I think , and for Europe , not just the Uk, the 120-140hp is prob more important than the +170hp...slow and steady wins the race eh!
So whats different about the m6 compared to the mgx?

Quite a bit, it’s an additional tractor as apposed a replacement at the moment, it has robotised gearbox, so auto changing of ranges, a tonne heavier, 7 tonne rear lift, cab suspension,,4 speed pto, isobus optional, mx loader options from new and a new cab interior, due in March hopefully!
Well is it the same gearbox essentially as the mgx only without the manual range change? Would the manual range change not be better as its the range changes on other powershift boxes that gives the trouble
