Ukraine 2022 harvest

Yes, some, but some kit and farmsteads destroyed and difficult supply chains. Only really getting going now where safe. Also land mines in some areas. I should imagine no planting likely in Donbas given the intensive fighting that is expected.

I’m very surprised by now one of putins henchmen hasn’t taken him out and assumed power fir themselves. He could be the hero of the Russian people and get full support of the western world for doing so. Perfect situation for an aspiring leader. Might have to take out a few more loyal supporters and potential presidential candidates to make sure he’s not next for the bullet but could all be with the world’s approval. Getting a crop planted will be in the interest of Russian and Ukrainian people. If the occupation continues food will be short for both

Read somewhere just lately that ukrainian farmers are on planting flat out but only in daylight hours, they reckon the harvest will be down about 30-35% and actually exporting it is still going to be the hardest thing rather than planting/harvesting

I read they only had the train as a mean of transport for grain but then it was bombed! They may as well grow it, the starving nations will send wagons!

in fact, if we talk about the harvest, Ukraine has dropped significantly in terms of the amount of grain grown per year. But still, no matter how cynical it may sound, it's good that it didn't go on sale, since the Ukrainians are making a very big discount, we will have to trade to our detriment.
