If a pipe is empty then it will not freeze - Goes for any and all types of pipe both Rigid and Layflat.
I know it's a pain but if we get a prolonged spell close to or below Zero you would be bolloxed.
I know a dairy farmer who drained his tractors overnight and filled them with hot water each morning which helped starting no end - One day the engine froze and cracked the block over lunch hour.....
Blow pipes out with a sponge and ideally if it’s going to be very cold reel them in and put them inside a building. If it’s not to cold just blow air for ten mins to warm pipes before you send slurry. Leave all ball valves open on pump over night too.
