A wolf in populated Northern France that close to Paris would be quite Sommething...

An animal with "90% of the characteristics of a wolf" was first sighted in Gapennes, north of Saint-Riquier, on September 17th, at the opening of the hunt.

A technician from the National Office for Hunting and Wildlife, in charge of the Lynx Lynx network for the north of France, came to take fingerprints. Two hairs of the animal were found.

The beast was seen again October 4 50 km from Gapennes, Le Hamel east of Amiens, by a farmer at night.

The specialists believe it's a wolf and not a wolf-dog because his coat is not united, he has small ears, his gait is special and he was seen with the tail between the legs. Also, the wolf would be present in the Aisne and along the Oise

We havnt had 1 for a good few years now but we had a lot of Puma attacks back in 2002-2007. 4-5 ewes a year usually within a few days ( 80kg texX's) would be hanging on top of the barb wire which was on top of a 5ft hedge. I saw it from 2-300 metres away 3 times and a lot of people saw them.
