I hve the chance to use a single cow milking machine but the alfa-laval oil-free vacuum pump that comes with it has not been run and maintained for a long time. How can i refurb it so it works again?
Looks handy. Not something I know much about but I would take that end cap off and you should find a rotor with some vanes that move within in order to pump air. Make sure the vanes can move freely......
Fck it, chuck some diesel in it and see what happens!!
Might have a few bits and pieces you can borrow long term if you like.
Cluster, shells etc.
I'd start by taking it apart and making sure the vanes move without sticking anywhere then check all the pipeline etc for blockages, get one bit going at a time and it should go fine. Have you started it up at all? Thanks for the tips, and thanks for the offer, it's currently set up for goats so that might be very handy
