I understand Minette is a big supporter of RT, so if you want to get rid of RT tomorrow then you'll have to get rid of Minette today.

I agree she's a decent ambassador, face of ag, good speaker etc. Not quite so keen on some of the policies.

She keeps saying standards of imports need to match ours, but of course they never will, yet supports RT which piles more rules and costs on to us.

Why would our own NFU President voluntarily pile extra costs on to us, whilst she knows imports are accessing our own markets with lower standards. She's tying one hand behind our backs and that is losing us market share and denting our profits.

The people that run AONBs are fairly unaccountable aren't they? Not elected but appointed. They can throw out your planning application or incur you very serious costs. And that’s without looking into the livestock side of things, but that’s now just starting to happen quietly as well.

Also the people working at the Nfu are the gravy train riders waiting for the leg up into other things like RT, AIC, AHDB.
