Unexplained lamb deaths

Thanks for all replies. Had results back from VLA Centre, turns out it was the most basic of all.....worms! Lambs must have had resistance to latest wormer. Feel a bit stupid.. but what threw me off the trail was that from the first post mortem the vet said no worms or fluke. All now had Zolvix so hopefully will put a stop to it.
what dose had you used?

We had the same problem, pm at vets and all good in the worm count on the guts, lost a few more and did a FEC, came back full of them only a week later.

Yes fluke ! Couldn't really understand it because they been on dry ground , then i remembered i had put 20 away on a bit of keep for a couple weeks to keep a customer of mine happy , think they picked it up from there although it wasn't really wet there , but there were a few clumps of rushes about ,

Dry times can be worst for fluke as the sheep go into the wetter spot looking for grass and water and pick up the fluke there.
