Unique Trike Stolen.

Aye-up,

to say that I’m am pi$$ed off this morning doesn’t even scratch the surface.

Two years ago I bought a Honda Big Red ATC 250 from a customer of mine and recently I had it totally restored. I’ve had it back about a month. Last night it was stolen from my shed. Lock smashed off the door and it was taken along with a Stihl pressure washer.

The galling thing is part of the reason I had it painted yellow was to make it less desirable to thieves. Waste of time that was. I haven’t made it common knowledge that I even bought it, let alone had it restored.

It has further unique features. The offside triangle panel is missing. On the other side the triangle panel has the Big Red? Decal, the question mark being the obvious unique bit. There are also two of the cartoon trike decals on the mudguards. It also has the two small hub caps missing on the ends of the rear axle. There is also a Warwickshire Bear and Ragged Staff logo on the front mudguard.

The following picture was taken the day I collected it before I fitted the decals.

So, if you hear anything will you please let me know. Hopefully it’s distinctive features might help.

Hmmm , theiving scum ,,,,,,, anyone with anything they truly value and realise it is at risk of being stolen should get a tracker fitted ,
Picked our 1 year old quad up last Fri after some scum had pinched it but got tracked and picked up the following day

They need gassing!!!!!!

Just hope you get it back or at the very least make it so hot it's totally unsaleable by the thieving scum

If enough people share it social I'm sure it will return, it's a small world sometimes

Thanks for all the messages and calls. It’s only a piece of metal but it’s proper bothering. I’ve put a lot of time, thought and money into it and to only have it about a month is very galling.

mate of mine had his landy nicked the other day near lanark, his wife put it out on facebook and with the help of people sharing her post they found it later the same day minus all the tools tho

Everyone is sh!t scared of pikeys, the thing is pikeys are decking cowards when confronted with fire. Go in there like a mad man and demand it’s back in 24 hours or there will be hell to pay.( preferably take local mad man with you)

Not really any specific idea.

I’ve only had it here a month and it’s strange the thieves left other stuff in the shed, four trailers, various portable lights and tools and just took the bike. They tried to get into a container but failed.

They looked in all the other sheds, all doors left open. They did the same at our neighbours 150m (shared driveway) away as well as rifling through his Freelander and Transit. They took a box of 10 dozen eggs from his shed and put them on the edge of the drive but didn’t take them. They had found his bunch of hidden keys but only gone into one shed. That, and the dumped eggs, makes us wonder if he disturbed them when he went out on his milk round at 2am.

Is there a chance the guy you bought it from has done the dirty and passed on your address to a third party

Nice chap down the road had his fancy VW Golf stollen.
They tried once, so he put in security gates.
The next week they got through electric security gates, broke into his house to get the garage keys and took it.
Scared the sh!t out out his wife and their 3 month old baby.

Instead of replacing the car, he has now got a very basic model car and put the house on the market.

I had a corn trailer stolen a few years ago that had some unique features so was haRd to sell
a week later a Pcso spotted a trailer in a yard had a look over the fence and found my trailer we got it back
still got it

keep searching social media some one will slip up eventually with such a unique machine
