Has anyone had any experience claiming for universal credit being self employed,our income is feast or famine we go for long periods with very little income the other months when we sell some sheep our bank balance looks better overall though we are making very little profit probably less than the minimum wage.

Yes it's all to do with losses and how their treated.
HMRC will class you as even if no fault of yours, you make consecutive losses over say 4 years ,as a hobby farmer, EVEN if your not.
The resident moaners will be along shortly and tell you get another job also I bet shortly????☹
