Universal joint cups

Was making up a new universal joint earlier and forgot to put grease in one of the cups :banghead: and at least one of the rollers has fallen out
Long story short, how can I remove the cup again intact, it's in a new yoke and is rather a tight fit and I don't have a press

Tried that, that's how I usually do it, but it's helluva tight

Is your yoke damaged if its that tight, sounds like it is TBH

I lost one of the roller pins in a joint cup when assembling, as I lost it I continued and its still going strong. Ill guess there are 25pins in a cup and I lost one so it should be ok.

Throw the bearing cap in the freezer overnight and gently heat the yoke tomorrow to aid fitting.
Be ready you'll only get one chance .........

Edit:
Sorry I think your stripping it again, my mistake ..........

Lay the yoke that you don’t want to remove cap from across the vice then hold the other yoke up square and wallop it with a lump hammer, that will get the cup moving. It’s how I always strip them.
