University Student Looking for Farms with Riparian Buffer Strips- Any Help Appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I hope I'm posting on the correct thread, if not I'm very sorry!

I'm a BSc Geography student in my second year at the University of Birmingham. Next year I need to produce my dissertation for which I'm hoping to look at the effectiveness of different riparian buffer strips in mitigating the impacts of agricultural stream pollution, to achieve this though I need to locate relevant field sites. I was wondering whether there was anyone active on these forums that would be able to help me? I'm looking to find five different field sites where landowners have implemented riparian buffer strips in accordance with the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, ideally within the Midlands as I am located between Shropshire and the West Midlands, although I am able to travel further out if needed.

The fieldwork itself would take place over this Summer (August most likely) and would only involve collecting small soil samples along the width of the riparian buffer as well as a water sample from the stream. The work should be quick and of very little disturbance. If anyone has any questions I would be more than happy to answer them :)

I would be very grateful for any help/advice! Thank you.
