Unkown Pickup Hitch

Does anyone know what this hitch fits?

The drawbar looks Leyland, but I don't recognise the hitch itself.

yes had one on a jd 2140

It looks very much like the one fitted to our IMT 539, (MF 35 copy) so it might also fit a fergie 35x - warning though it doesn’t give as much ground clearance as a proper fergie hitch

That is correct it is a ARM from early to mid 1980's from a tractor in the 70-90 hp range no idea what make but is missing the lift rods to connect to ram shaft.

Either a Leyland 262 or 272 and I've seen similar on Same Saturno's

Not for Leyland. No mounting holes in a Leyland back end to match those of that hitch.
It would suit a MF 35,135 etc though.

I have certainly seen very similar but googling tells me you are correct it is not leyland. Did the last DBs fit these or possibly IH? I have not worked on 135 etc.

An ARM hitch was available for the 94 series, have seen them on 90 series David Browns too but I'm not sure if they were factory fit. The drawbar was the same as in the picture but the rest of it was completely different.
Not aware of any Internationals that had an ARM hitch. The Case 51 series Maxxum had had an ARM hitch, but again it was a completely different design.

Looks wrong type of blue for leyland, but about right for IMT

As others have said, Leylands were completely different. The frame was shaped to accommodate the crownwheel casting and bolted to the axle, not the belly of the tractor.
Same drawbar though.

A local man bought 2 new Same Tiger tractors in either 1979 or 1980 . A 2 wd and a 4 wd . Another local man bought the 2wd about 5 yrs later , and I would swear that it had a similar hitch to that one pictured.

Not for a DB, hook and drawbar look the same, but then I guess all ARM would look similar, pin hole worn to hell will rattle like hell.

Weigh it in.
