Seen this on Facebook this morning, has somebody just made this or was it an actual option when they were new? Never seen one with the column shift gearbox, guessing some has just added it on?
The dexta was just the name given to the 2000 to help farmers move from Fordson to Ford.Is that really a dexta ? Looks more like a 5000 to me, remember a lot of export spec is different to what we have
The 5000 was called The Super Major to fool new owners into thinking that their new 5000 would pull as well as that Super Major that they had just traded inThe dexta was just the name given to the 2000 to help farmers move from Fordson to Ford.
2000 dexta
3000 super dexta
4000 major
5000 super major
Definitely something along them lines because I don't see it being an original tractor, all preforce 2000s had the 6x2 gearbox or select-o-speed gearboxLooks like a classic " bitsa" made use of interchangeable parts, 3000 front end mated to 10 series gearbox?
Yes I know, what I was getting at, it looks a bit big for a 3cylinderThe dexta was just the name given to the 2000 to help farmers move from Fordson to Ford.
2000 dexta
3000 super dexta
4000 major
5000 super major
Don't quote me on this for I could be wrong but I think the 5000 had 5 louvres on the bonnet but the 3cylinder models only had 4, which would make this a 3 cylinderYes I know, what I was getting at, it looks a bit big for a 3cylinder
More like 5000 based I would think, but don't think they could have column change
That's what I seen in FBIt is a 2000 underneath. It's on Ford and Fordson Tractors on Facebook and in Germany..........
Roadless made a 4wd 3000 , ploughmaater 46 I think it was calledLooks like a 3000 to me, handbrake and Aux services in the right place.....column change and 4wd bit odd to say the least. A few 4wd 3000's appearing on ebay.....from somewhere.
The indicator stalk is also later.Hand throttle and steering wheel are from a 10 series too.
Something like that. I remember we had a kerfuffle with our 4000 when we did away with the dynamo, and fitted an alternator.Am I right in thinking that the Rev counter with the needle to the right indicates it has a dynamo with the cable driven off the back?
The later ones with the taco cable driven from the oil pump had the needle pointing to the left? [emoji848]
