Unusual issue with my car

Air mass sensor could be one culprit, hot air is less dense but that's only the wildest of guesses

On a similar subject I have a Kia Sportage diesel that keeps slipping in and out of limp mode with no warning light coming on. Have had it plugged in and all faults cleared etc several times, but it still does it. The only pattern I can see is that it's more likely to happen on cold days.
Is it the 2.0? Excessive black smoke?

It's the 2l and has just passed it's NCT (Irish MOT) with a clean bill of health on the exhaust. The last time it was plugged it came up with an imbalance of some sort on the air intake side, but the mechanic couldn't make head nor tail of it. He cleared out the faults and it was fine for a a few days but soon dropped back into its wretched ways.

Check the pipe from intercooler, father had split boost pipe from intercooler to intake manifold.

I dont have a leak off tester so popped off the tops and tried to look at the difference the one on the right seemed to squird fuel out. When I tried it with engine hot was harder to start but didn't seem to squirt

Easily done with 4 sawn off pop bottles taped together and some rubber hose (same length) into each one. Run the engine for a minute and compare.

I have cleaned all the engine to look for a leek. I did run it on kerosene for a few days about 2 months ago to try and clean the injectors
Well that wasn't a clever thing to do with a common rail system. Kero is 'dry' in that it specifically lacks the necessary lubrication for extremely tight tolerances and high pressure injection pumps. You would be very lucky to get away with that without causing major damage to the high pressure pump and contaminating the system. Its almost as bad as filling up with petrol.

Was recommended to do it by a garage small amount into the filter

Id a split on pipe from hp pump to rail .
I thought it was losing diesel garage said no untill the right man spotted the mist ,absolutely no signs of diesel just a mist at the right / wrong moment. Cause instant stall as apparently the pressure sensor will see the drop and say no.
Scudo van pipe took about 3 weeks to come from France van sat in garage.
