Upgraded 750a seed tubes

But the Stark family at Väderstad have stopped the sale on their SeedHawk for the european market too, and says that it is because of problems in their canadian factory. This at a time when the machine gets bigger and bigger interest here in Sweden...
It seems to me that the big machinery companies dont want to have direct drills on the european market at all.

And john dale sold a seedhawk quite happily...

If you make cultivators do you really want to sell drills that don’t need them ?

our seed coulter bottom halves are almost worn out, and there is middling slop in the bolt that fastens it to the arm. would it be worth swapping to the narrower one piece coulter or just fit bigger bolts and new bottom to the existing set up?
Cheers

It’s always better to upgrade from the 60 series ( two piece ) boot to the newer 90 series ( one piece ) because it sits further back on the disc. Because it runs further in the disc’s shadow it forces the sidewalls of the slot less which obviously makes it easier to close. If you’ve got some slop in the bolt that holds the boot to the coulter arm it would be worth checking whether the play is in the arm or the bolt has worn.
