I looked hard for a TM , most have been ragged or shagged .
Anything TM, esp range command has had a strong market in Ireland for years.

It’s funny, when they were new, they didn’t have a great reputation- brakes, electrics, constant oil leaks, the front mudguards used to fall off for fun too.

Now they’re coveted as some pinnacle of engineering excellence.

We’ve got a 140 and 155, best thing I find about them is you can fix most problems with a screwdriver, mole grips and tape.

Theres a tidy low houred tm140 for sale at a roup up here soon.

Remember at lamma think it was year you were there with Dave some company was doing special deals on last of tm155s.

With hindsight should have bought one. We never ran one but they had a good reputation up here. Think Slains park ran a few. I could never understand many of them were turned up to around 200hp and didn't give much bother yet the tm175s and 190s seemed to give no end of bother.

It makes me wonder what progress we have made. A TM155 would be more than adequate for most jobs on our farm. Yet running a t7 260.

Back in 2005 Case were putting me of buying an mxm175 instead they were pushing a 155 mxm opened up to 200 if I wanted, there reason was it would be more reliable tractor and this was through the case sales warranted etc new tractor etc but I didn’t buy it in the end

Be interesting to see what happens with Case in Aberdeenshire.

There's hardly any about at moment. Mainly blue ones. Maybe CNH are contented with that.

I think in the right hands they could shift a lot of tractors/combines in this area.

The right hands is the problem? Not enough mechanics and storemen about, sort that bit out and a dealership of any brand could potentially do well. Mark Garrick will take a bit of the slack up but labour is the problem

Our 140 is on an 09 plate. Apparently destined for Russia, sat in a yard for years coz deal fell thru. It’s definitely not same spec as uk models🤣 no cab or front suspension, analogue dash and a somewhat bespoke rear linkage (apparently).

think the 155 is opened up a bit, pulls and smokes like a train 👍.

At least cuts out some future expense replacing potentiometers and all that guff.
