Yes we are starting to think the same way 80k for a four cylinder tractor ffs. It's got over 6 k hours but it is our only tractor that will handle most of our kit so rely on it and the change price will never get less!!!!

Am thinking the same but if it's what's right for your business then it is what it is. There seems to be a fair market for the high hp, high spec, 4cyl.

Was just looking round last night and found a brand new in stock tractor, 6cyl, high spec, 160hp for 14k less. Ok it was the last of the previous batch as the new models are now available but even still....

Your right we have been offered an old model 6 cylinder claas at e very reasonable price but size is a consideration for our loader tractor

What gearbox is in the Maxxum? Electro Shift or CVX, same as New Holland? Not a fan of either, to be honest but a T7/Puma with Power Command is mega money.

Been told that new Holland warranty is going up to £200 incl vat on new modals used to be £70 plus vat

NH standard excess is £110 (Used to be £100) then you can pay £220 if you want the policy cheaper, or pay a tad more and have a £0 excess (That's what I prefer and use that on all tractors I sell, makes it easier for the customer)

Why not have confidence in your product and give a 3 year unconditional warranty in with the price like some tractor companies and most car companies. Is it not simpler than all this complex warranty crap.

I can imagine, the Maxxums are the tractors we need for our business, we want to stick with Case for sure, but I fear the only way they're going to stay ''affordable'' is if we start going down in HP.

As for sticking to the same or go fractionally bigger I fear it's going to be a fair hike, so they're going to have to sort something pretty good i.e. more realistic price or better finance deals if they want to have any sales at all I would think.... I would think the same would apply to all the top manufacturers.
We recently bought a Puma 150. Believe it or not there was very little difference in price between a Maxxum and a Puma. So little it was a no brainer.

@Ali_Maxxum How much was your 1200hr service?

Ours was £1400, had to take the rocker cover off to change a valve and all sorts. Seemed a bit steep!

I've only had the 600hr one done by the dealer which was about £500. I haven't asked about the 1200, just about to hit 1500hrs to tell you the truth. It had its back end filters and oil done at 1000hrs because it needed some warranty work so Case covered that for us.

I've just looked in the book at the 1200hr, did you have axle/hub oil changed? Says about the V-belts as well? Water and coolant too?

I was going to change the water/coolant, engine oil/filter, fuel filters, inner air filter and do the axle/hub oil and the brake drier reservoir. This is all stuff I'll do myself so will save a small fortune on labour. I was told not to worry about the ad-blue filter till it shouts at me. I'll ask about the tappet clearance and see what they say, if they don't think I need it they don't recommend it.

Won't you need to get it done by them, or at least to heir standards, to maintain the warranty?

I had a £370 bill as well to update the gps software as Trimble had changed the satellite frequency. I'm arguing that one, it's between Case and Trimble surely, simply expecting the customer to cough up £370 because you want to fiddle with the signal is not on.

This could be the same signal that independent trimble users simply did ourselves in 5 minutes then that one is a pretty ropey charge

Fully agree. Scandelous that with todays eye watering tractor prices dealers can't give a full, 3 year, unconditional warranty as standard. Look at the price rise from 10 years ago, the extra technology added and yet the warranty hasn't improved.

Pretty sure there's a full three yrs warranty on Case tractors now as long as you sign that they (dealer) service it.

I'll have to check the warranty policy and have a chat to the lads, you may well be right.... will get back to you!

I'm sure you must have the same little booklet as me... Under Customers responsibilities - operation and servicing - (Major servicing: where oil and/or filters required to be changed) completed by Case IH authorised dealer.

So I guess that's it in black and white.... I better make a phone call in the morning! I guess I will save a good chunk by not having the back end stuff done as it was already done as part of a warranty job. Again, will update!
