Using Tyre stingers on private land?

I do like Nick's suggestion. Para. 4 above. Put up the signs but don't lay the stingers and see what reaction there is. If they get too confident, lay a stinger or two and set up a trail cam. You'd cover any fines from Youtube feedback.!

Remember being told a some years ago of a farm putting a set of chain harrows inside a gateway that was being broken into at night. It certainly gave the poachers some problems that night, but they came back a slashed every tyre they could find on the machinery

Theres all sorts in gaps round my way ,,telegraph poles ,tree trucks ,concrete blocks and big boulders from the quarry or the cheapest solution is sticking the telehandler bucket in and scoping a hole out leaving the muck on the field side

You got it in one. Urban cretins are free to run roughshod over our fields and we are powerless to retaliate. If you do call the police they leave the station with lights and sirens on to give the little buggers plenty of notice to run away so the policemen do not have to leave their vehicle and potentially get some mud on their shoes.

WTF sort of lawless third world hell hole do you people live in ?
Unfortunately it is getting as you say,and I am not one to exaggerate. The punishments for criminals or people who abuse the law in the UK ,are so lenient that the criminals who are scum of the earth do not have much to loose,as the police are so highly stretched that they have little chance of ever bringing scum of the earth to justice.
When you have the best part of 70,000,000 million people living in the uk,you start to have problems as the rural areas are so close to suburbia. What better way for youngsters couped up in a confined town flat to let of steam, to go and tear ass across a farmers field, to hell with what damage they cause.:banghead::banghead:

95 percent of rural crime is committed by 1 percent of folk who self identify as a persecuted minority. The police don't touch them due to fear of reprisals - there is a current case involving their type running over a copper. The BBC won't even say the word. A quad bike goes missing and everyone knows who has done it. Fly tipping, hare coursing, theft of fuel and telehandlers. They know all the tricks and they will burn your barn down / slash your tyres / etc. We can't take any action as the police here prefer to prosecute the generally law abiding who accidentally do 34 in a 30 zone. And tbh the insurers just cough up and don't persue them either.

We are a weak and feeble nation who exported all the adventurous stock, and retained the jawless....and accountants.

I saw a convoy of such creatures on an industrial estate near Nottingham this evening. Doubtless they were looking for an unguarded patch of land to camp on. 8-10 caravans all towed by new pickups or 4x4s. Irish plates.

The rearmost had no lights in the caravan, but the police won’t bother to stop them so why worry?

Yup. They know all their plates on anpr etc for the hare coursing. They want us to film them doing the crime, but won't pull them over for not being taxed. We have a whole barrage of laws to deal with them, but plod will not touch them. No way. Not ever.

I’ve said it before, it’s much easier to tax, fine and prosecute people with a stake in society (jobs, mortgages, businesses and social reputations) than it is those who choose to exist outside social norms.

The law is for the law abiding.
