Yes and they put a vent in passenger footwell good for warming a lamb that you pick up on rounds without having to take it straight back
Yeah we have just ordered a polaris as well. they were going to put 4 vent heater in but decided to go for the 8 vent. Thinking of warming a lamb to 😊 had a can am demo and really liked it but it was just the whole petrol thing
Got polaris on demo then was impressed how much go was in it for a diesal compared to a gator
Have a friend that's got a jd 865 it's been a nightmare on its second engine 😔

I've been short changed can only think of 7 vents in mine. Yes as I said before tried petrol and gas conversion can am and found I was naturally riding round about 35-40mph on country lanes didn't feel safe to do anymore

Realistically how thirsty are these petrol UTVs? (Not gas converted)

Thinking of changing wifes quad to something more child friendly
Get a Polaris Ranger diesel Dave 👍🏻

1 of the main reasons I got 1 is so I can have the kids with me if the wife has to rush off.
Can also take them on the road with me now but couldn’t with a quad. Their also out of the elements/safe plus the Ranger has 12v sockets to charge their tablets etc 👍🏻

serious fuel saving using red diesel compared to petrol into the quads.

Been following your polaris experience with interest 👍 trouble would be lack of local dealer, I think the nearest is down the coast in devon somewhere.

We've got a excellent honda dealer very local, but the pioneer utv doesn't seem to get a great rep

Then a JD dealer a little further on, but the gators seem abit ££££

Then Can am on the other side of the moor

My dealer is circa 2+ hrs away, same dealer for can am, Honda and Yamaha. When we have had major problems with bikes during lambing they’ve sent bikes down within 3hrs. Service from them is seriously top notch!

Not too bad Dave.
I still get our 1000cc CanAm out and I only keep 20 sheep 😉😉

Massive tank, 38 litres or so, the bigger engine helps these machines as they are always working with CVT, so the 1000 uses less juice "most of the time" than the 800 or 650 because they are working harder "all the time"

Funny you say "child friendly" as the eldest still remembers the day he missed the bus and we caught and passed the schoolbus in the buggy, (with a trailer + dogs aboard) and had him at the next stop.

As someone upthread said, slow vehicles are f**king dangerous and if you are doing any roadwork then get something that can get out of the way.

CanAm will do about 120kmh with full doors, screen, roof. Trailer slows it down a bit.

Dad used to occasionally drop the 5 of us into school with tractor and linkbox..... obvs wouldn't dare do such a thing now 🤔

I imagine your can am to be Pete's ultimate toy 🕶🤠🤣 get to any point on the ranch in a blink of a eye, you'll be needing to get runners fitted to it to glide over all the new fences 😎

That's the plan, just having a spare seat and a heap of storage that isn't a "hell box" makes them a great tool. Sad that the Commander isn't being made anymore..
I might go for the Maverick next time.. they'd be more fun on the beach as the Commander doesn't jump well... which affects the landing a bit... 😳
