Does anyone know the access code to get into the box settings, I'm fed up with the pee useless bale shape indicators and McHale or the dealer don't want to know and just say only bale good swaths and switch them off.

Maybe there is nothing I can do but I want to exhaust all options. It's the one thing which would stop me buying another one😡

What’s wrong with your bale shape indicators?

Just take them off/disconnect them. When the bale size indicator stopped working on mine, the McHale guy said it was same sensor as ones on belts for bale shape so moved sensor. Didn't have to change anything in box. Mines a 2011 newer ones could be different.

They're fudging useless. The new Holland ones were ace and with there help could make a perfect bale from any old swath but the McHale ones are crap and I'll show an odd arrow left or right sometimes, the bale has be a very long way off even before anything happens.

I've tried altering the potentiometer position and I've re set them via the box numerous times but they are still fecking useless.

Having only 3 belts doesn't help the efficiency of sensors that run on the belts, the best system in my opinion is the NH one which had spring steel sensors on each side of the chamber measuring the actual crop density in the bale.

I thought I heard somewhere new McHale's use optical sensors????

My last one had a sensor up the front picking up on a distance off the edge of the belts it was just as shite as your ones. Your best bet is to just ignore what it's telling you and fill it yourself
