Vaccine roll out. Waiting for my invite for the vaccine and will be in line with my arm at the ready when called .
I had mine on Monday morning, must admit I suffered 10 hours of flu like symptoms that night. I assume this shows it has now triggered my defence system and perhaps shows that I may well have suffered quite badly had I actually caught the coved virus. Wont hesitate to have my second dose and any further jabs required.
I had the Pfizer in January and apart from a stiff shoulder for less than a day both myself and the wife suffered no ill effects. The flu jab does that to me anyway. It's a bit worrying hearing about these side effects .....I got a load of Barley to put on at half 4 in the morning ☹
Apparently 2 residents died at local care home "with" covid about a month after their first dose. They were both around a 100 years old and ive no idea to what extent covid contributed to their death.Had 1st dose of posh Pfizer vaccine way back in January. Second dose is booked for early April. This is in amongst my 2nd MMR dose and an on-going round of Hep B vaccinations... More holes than a pin cushion atm.
I would point out that I know several patients who still suffered from being infected despite being vaccinated. Some of them deteriorated and end up in ITU anyway. Don't take any risks purely from assuming you are 'safe'.

Mmm there are def side effects which sound worse than my experience of virus.Had the AZ just over 2 weeks ago
Bad side effects at 36 hours after & took to bed
Vomiting
Headache
Fever
Swollen lump on head & glands up in neck
Debating whether to go for dose 2
Took Mum for second Pfizer this afternoon
The effects of covid that are all in the news are the deathsMmm there are def side effects which sound worse than my experience of virus.
Good Friend of my agronomist ended up in papworth having a stent fitted within 24hours of having vaccine.
Everyone got to assess their own risk and how they feel about it, I guess.
If I was 85 , hadn't already had virus and wanted to marginally increase my chances of living longer, I might consider the vaccine.
However, only in autumn as will be May before immunity kicks in now, so a bit of a wasted couple of days of feeling sh!t.
