As some would have noticed i've got an old, seized vacuum pump with a bucket milking machine.
Here i've got the shaft and drum out and all 4 graphite vanes removed, unfortunately 2 are broken
Decent old set square and various grades of wet and dry paper
WIth the grinder guard off the wire wheel luckily reached all the way to the other face and covered all surfaces
Shaft and drum reinstalled with the two intact vanes
And it works, in a fashion. It pulls a slight vacuum, i have no gauge at the moment.
I'm having trouble sourcing the right size of vane, not surprising given the likely age of the machine.
I'm wondering if i can buy larger and cut down despite the brittleness, any good ideas?
