our carrier needs a new set of discs we bought it s/h at a lower cost knowing that all the discs would have to be changed my question is what is the best discs for getting a chit and maybe for working down a bit of ground before Maize. I was thinking just the standard 450mm discs same type as on the rapid drill would that be peoples choice too? There’s also the crosscutters but our carrier is the older type and won’t fit all on the frame as it will hit on the back row we’re can alter the pitch of the docs with linkage arms but would fit on the front has anyone had crosscutters on the front and normal discs on back? Personally think will keep it simple and just use normal discs that are guaranteed to work many thanks

Agree with zebbedee , play it safe and stick with original size that machine is designed for. You aren't missing out much with any larger fancy discs really.

I would put TrueCut 470mm discs instead original ones.
Not CrossCutter but TrueCut which have bigger teeths.

Don’t think they’ll fit due to the length of the arm that holds the bearing. On the newer ones the arm is longer to allow the bigger discs to fit.
