The XT looks much heavier. The double row of rear press rings looks much better too. I'd add 20% to the power requirement though.

I'd say heavier is better for consolidation, I've now been told the XL is heavier still and is available with all front tool options....

What are you trying to achieve with it? The classic is more a secondary cultivator, producing a seedbed on previously worked ground, whereas the other models are more a primary tool, akin to a Joker or Optima (although will still make a seedbed in the right conditions)

I used a neighbours classic with cross cutter disc's, it was bang on the money this season for what I wanted in our system, nice shallow tilth early doors, will just see a sprayer and then a direct disc drill now

We have a new xt - great bit of kit. Much heavier duty than the standard carrier, which we needed as farm a fair chunk of flint. Added to the fact it holds dart straight on a side slope too, which we have a lot of. Silly expensive though
