Vaderstad roller

Has anybody got a Vaderstad roller with crosskill rings??
If so how do you find it ? Asking as i am thinking of buying one . It is claimed by Vaderstad that the crosskill has a significant cultivation effect so might be a suitable alternative to running a power harrow ahead of the combi on heavy ground for spring crops
Question is how good is it at consolidating the seedbed after drilling compared to the traditional cambridge roller ?
Thanks

We have Vaderstad cross kills with Shatta boards. Our land is not to heavy though. Great on ploughing, I like them for rolling in the spring after a frost to encourage tillering.
Depends what you are trying to achieve after drilling they do consolidate but leave a rougher surface and can leave small stones on top. It does not look like it has been rolled unless you go very slow.
Better for heavy rain but less good for pre em sprays, we usually use our standard Cambridge rolls on seedbeds straight after drilling.

You tube has some videos which show how the cross kills lift the soil. Vaderstad rexius + 360 biodrill has some close up action which shows how it would work on a seedbed.

Did you buy a set cow corn? Am thinking of buying a set myself so would be interested to hear your thoughts if you did? Wonder how they would work on a cloddy seedbed?

Has anyone every tried the crosskill rollers after a direct drill? We find conventional Cambridge rollers are just running on the untouched land and not compacting at all

Shatterboard works pretty well on lighter soils, can't see the crosskill only doing anything much to heavier soils.
