Valtra/agco A/C

Just have had the air con on my valtra mess up proper. Sent parts of the pump and receiver drier around the system. Mechanic told me the receiver drier broke up and messed the pump up. Apparently it's Chinese made and not as good as ones made elsewhere. Has anyone else had this problem ?
Cheers matt

I have on a Deutz k430 agrotron. The drier cartridge also burst scattering the silica around the system.

Deutz stood by it and was fixed under warranty. I don't know the make of the system, but the a/c engineer said it had been designed not to cause pump damage because all he had to do was blow out the crap and replace the drier.

It's a very rare occurrence according to the (independent) guy that was hired by the dealer to do the work on my tractor. It's done over 2k hours faultlessly since.

Edit
If you look on Malpas online or similar, driers are around £50 and compressors £200 to £500. The fact that they stock them suggests that there is a demand for replacement parts!

The big cost is likely to be labour cleaning out abs recharging the system.

What year is it. Had same problem with Massey. 07 plate. It kept having reoccurring problems with the air co never since.

I've just had the receiver drier fail on the Bateman, new part + valve cost about £45, + independents labour, compressor ok.
Bit annoying as only 2300 hrs on machine but not too expensive to fix, seems like it could be quite a common problem !!
