was steering one of these the last evening for a few hours, the tractor has a woeful delay between the C and D ranges, as in it almost comes to a stop before completing the change. new machine so dealer is to come and look at it, I have to assume they are not all like this???, and that a laptop will be the cure??!

any similar experiences out there??

I've a N111(2009) , cracking tractor but the bloody gear changes are dreadful at times. With the clutch being fully electric it needs adjusting at least 3/4 times a year as if doing yard work it can be either on or off with no progression. That being said, when it is calibrated again its lovely for a couple months, then all of a sudden goes to sh!t...

Something my dealer can do for me is reprogram how aggressive the engagement is, so when he comes and does it its to my preference. Could be a similar type thing?

Sounds like the gearbox needs re-calibration.

Mine needed doing after 5 years.

I have had a t144 for over a year and have never found the delay to be that much of a problem. You can pull off in C range with any weight behind you and by the time you need to change range you will have enough momentum for in not to be an issue. Use it in auto mode which i find is better

Have had a few more hours on it since and hav got a better handle on it now, still pretty poor to be honest (usually in a dyna6 6480 as a comparison). Would like to think a calibration would go a long way but as is I am pretty sure a 16ft trailer of silage would get the better of it changing up on any sort of incline. I'm only using it as an extra when needed wit 14ft trailer and from c5 it always has dropped itself to d1 to speed match by the time it completes the change.
