I know someone who probably would of had it, but they have just bought one.
How come your changing?
I wanted a smaller and cheaper loader tractor really. It’s a lovely tractor but with the new price tag to go with them it’s just far too much of a luxury for me. Essentially putting feed in a mixer wagon and carrying the muck out the other end. I just don’t see the point in ‘overkill’ machinery. For me personally anyway.

I test drove today...the N134 and a T154
What I noticed (in my opinion of course)
Was that inside the cab it was noisier than my current tractor.
The brakes were as soft as clarts
But the most concerning thing was the gear change from C to D was horrific, it just died and lost all forward momentum till I’m kicked in again.
Everything ejse was good though.
I thought the same with the gear change from c to d but in time you get used to it.I usually change from c4 to d1 seems a lot better.

"Hydraulic assist" is a patented valtra feature that's brilliant for loader work and it's not been mentioned so far (hard to believe after 22 pages!!!)

The engine rpm is automatically increased when the hydraulics demand oil. It works on both conventional and direct gearbox versions, and makes it near impossible to stall the bugger.
Valtra must be kindly letting MF use the same settings on their loaders, very considerate of them. barsteward f**king Deutz used to stall for fun.

What's happened to James ds ?
Has he sold you all his Valtras or has he left you
in charge while he's gone on holiday.:D
James DS has decided he's above the rules of TFF about hiding your identity, and has registered another user name and email address. Let's him go undercover to tell us all how brilliant he was choosing valtra 25 years ago 🤣

And there was me thinking he’d had a c-nile moment and forgotten his log in details so needed a new account and that also covers his desire to keep repeating himself constantly, constantly, constantly, constantly , constantly, constantly, constantly,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

On the Valtra Hitec 5 C range change from C 5 to D
1 is slow to change. The gears C 5 and D 1 are basically the same gear. No increase in speed due to towing and time needed to change range. Gear changes 1 - 5 are instant within each range
