I never mentioned anything about a status symbol. I couldn’t care lessCorrect me if im wrong, but the way I see it is, the valtra is probably better tractor, and a better spec, better loader tractor, according to northeastfarmer, but the deere is more of a status symbol, and has better resale value, as it is more of a desirable brand.
But, I know of a 175r and engine is gone. 3k hours.
There are more deeres sold so there are bound to more casualties also.
I know him very well, the hours he puts up are massive , tractors averaging 2500-3000 hours a year. He says the valtras are the only tractor that can do the hours continuously without much trouble.Farmflix this week there is a boy on it likes his valtras

He would have had deutz before valtra , he’s running valtras for the last 15 yearsWhat’s he running alongside that’s causing problems
So the bottom line is that Jd lost market share dropping 240 tractor sales while valtra grew their share by 84 units . well done to valtra.Anyone else seen this? I can’t be bothered to scroll back to when it was being talked about!
Pole position for John Deere
John Deere headed the UK tractor market in 2019 accounting for 3,800 (28.1%) of the 13,545 registered units (over and under 50hp), reports the AEA. Second place went to CNH with 3,518 (26.0%) units (Case IH 1,204 and New Holland 2,314). In third spot, AGCO brands secured a 24.6% (3,335) share of...www.profi.co.uk
And you hear of more valtras doing huge hours compared to Jd .So 4.7 Deere’s sold for every 1 Valtra might explain why you hear more horror stories from one than the other.
Yes he loves the valtras , use to have 8 or 9 t190s , he’d put 20-25,000 hrs on them of hard work. He’s trading them up now to t234s.Nothing its all valtra and will stay that way if i understand it right
