Valtra valmet 8950

Does anyone have a cab off a 6000/8000 series valtra or valmet? I'm looking for one for the tractor above. I have tried the breakers about the UK and Europe and have had no joy

same position with our 8400, but mostly just the innner mudguards below the cab, not structural work. have one side done and will do the other next winter before the whole tractor goes for painting to help prevent it happening again, i did the repaired with a body protector rubber type paint.

i did the right hand side striped all off the inside and shielded it with wood before i cut out the bad bits and welded in new, took about 8 days at it so not to heat things to much, not sure how bad the floor is but started with what looked worst and was tight for time when i did it.

would have been better to remove it and assess it and start form scratch.

Yeah I know what you mean, it's while you do it the tractor is out of commission but definitely cab of so you can get right round it all the way and see daylight would be the best thing, even relining the inner wings isn't easy due to their shape

i think it could be hard to get any better cabs to be honest. I find that it is the crap coating it got in the factory that is the problem, part of my inner wing was rotten and flaking and 1 inch over the aint was stuck like new and the steel 100%. So to make it abit easier i just cut out all bad metal welded to origional welds as it was still better and kept the shapes if u get what i mean, also left easier to bend/mould the new panels from 2.5mm, 3 was to hard to work but 2.5 was managable.

Yes I agree on finding a better cab, I've spent time over past few weeks searching and trying lots of places to no joy. I might be best removing mine and just working away repairing where necessary to be honest. It's going to be slow but least I will know where its at in the end. The is some amount of joins and welds in there when you look at it all the same compared to next generation models with a plastic wing

Rotten cabs is what scraps a lot of tractors unfortunately. There was a 8000 model that was fitted with the MF 6100 series cab and although the roof can go on them structurally they are sound.

These were the before. Can't find the during pictures or the finished. Not all was replaced but this is worse than the other side. Did all with the wire brush after this picture and went from there. All down front of wheel and lower a section beside it leading over to the access hole too was the worst to try and not warp.
I cut around the inner braces and then ground then down to where they should be before placing the bew piece flush
