Valtra vs Massey Vs Fendt

Anyone else know of any other features that should be universal at AGCO?
The ability to pick up the phone and provide meaningful support should be universal!

To be fair, I think that is available - it costs £50k+ but you do get a free tractor!

If you have an older machine then you're on yer own.

Considering that Agritechnica will not take place, any informations about the launch of the new series Valtra ( same size of 8s) and new Fendt 700?
With this new series we'll probably know more about the new platforms and shared components.

And it's the biggest piece of junk engine ever in a modern tractor.

No cylinder liners and loads of emissions garbage attached to it and cranking 280 hp .
Plan on a new engine after 3k hrs.
Thankfully no more 800s in our fleet
Mike Mitchell doesn't think much of deutz engines in fendts . Terrible at cold starting in harsh Canadian winters !

Having changed from a Deutz to a Valtra with the sisu engine, it's bloody obvious why fender want to stick with the German motor.....

..... In comparison, the Sisu drinks worse than a politicians work group during lockdown

No way will fender be able to keep the marketing claim that their tractors are so efficient, they'll generate diesel

Unless they fit the CNH block instead 😉

There is a new generation of Valtra/AGCOpower engines due quite soon. The current generation is about average on fuel consumption and drive-by noise but excellent in power and torque characteristics and reliability by all accounts. The new generation promise to be much quieter and more frugal but that remains to be seen. There’s no actual launch date that has been made public either, so currently it is vapourware rather than hardware.

The Deutz engines have not got a good reliability reputation even though they do have a reputation for being economical with fuel in some applications/installations.

The 6 pot sisu is far more efficient than the 4 though
