no sir , never driven one but its their own concoction rather than a fendtDoesn't that have the Fendt Vario transmission in it?

The one I'm thinking of will be the S series in all probability. No dealer has ever made a go of Valtra in West Wales for some reason. They've had a few come and go over the years and none sold more than a small handful.no sir , never driven one but its their own concoction rather than a fendt
Far as I can tell, they are the same transmission but the active has load sensing hydraulics. I maybe wrong.....What's the difference between Hi tech and active? Are active transmissions as reliable?
I'm no expert but think that although they're both 5 speed power shifts they are different transmissions, I think it's hi tech up to approx 125hp then the active, versu and direct. Direct is cvt, not sure the exact differences between active and versu, active seems to be lower spec with manual spools, versus seem t come with electric spools, there may well be other differences I don't know. What's the difference between Hi tech and active? Basically active gearbox same as versu but no electric spools or armrest with screen, in the activ versu and direct the gearbox oil is separate from the hydraulic oilWhat's the difference between Hi tech and active? Are active transmissions as reliable?
Hitechs are still available in all sizes , the new t4 are called hitech 5 .I'm no expert but think that although they're both 5 speed power shifts they are different transmissions, I think it's hi tech up to approx 125hp then the active, versu and direct. Thanks for those replies, I read up a bit on it too so understand more now. The separate oils sounds good for gearbox longevity. Haven’t driven anything other than a hitec 3 so haven’t got a clue but looking to swap a claas for another valtra and the choice seems to be hitec 5 or the active..
Heck, they start even at - 35°C (so does Deere and the others, but they do struggle a fair bit). The key is to run a tank of winter fuel with old filters, then swap in the new filters and fill the tank. Never had freezing problems with any tractor's fuel line or filter freezing. Head gaskets blowing at extreme temperatures is much more of an issue (looking at you, Deere). It's not the tractors fault that you have poor quality fuel. In Finland these tractors start at -20 no problem , we have had -4 here a bit lately and I havnt had a problem all year , the last time I changed the filters was lastyear before we started silage.
So what are you missing out on with that screen on the armrest on an active?Basically active gearbox same as versu but no electric spools or armrest with screen, in the activ versu and direct the gearbox oil is separate from the hydraulic oil
I don't think so.So with the active being the old armrest...is it any good? As they’ve got the new singing and dancing armrest did the old arm rest need updating or is it pretty decent for a basic stock farmer’s tractor?
I have cab suspension on the t191 and I see very little differance in its comfort and the other t series with front suspension only . If it was costing much extra I wouldn't be too worried about it.How does cab suspension handle banks? Is it a definite no on steep ground as in does it exaggerate the angle so much you don’t want to go on steep banks or does it make the ride so much more comfortable that you wouldn’t want to be without it and its nothing to get used to?
