Varioguide section control

Plugged our Knight sprayer into our new 724 for the first time yesterday. All the isobus controls work but couldn't get the section control going at all. It just displays a message saying no isobus implement with section control is connected. Anyone got a fix for this?

Yeah SC requires an unlock in the 700s and above. You can do it on the 500 with the dealer laptop and ask nicely

The sprayer has had section control unlocked for the last five years and works really well with our Topcon X30. The new 724 has had the unlock for section control and variable rate control as part of a deal at the time we bought it so there should be no reason at all for it not to work. The menu is there on the screen for the section control but all the options are greyed out and the message is that no isobus implement with section control is connected. Any ideas? Dealer will happily look into it but we are now flat out lifting potatoes so won't need it on the sprayer for a few more weeks anyway.

Might want to check with the dealer that it’s actually unlocked on the new tractor. Doesn’t sound like it is.

If the section control buttons are there it’s unlocked I believe.

What rate controller does the sprayer use. Some ie topcon apollo needs to have the task controller turned on within the rate controller settings otherwise section control won’t work. It’s like this on a jd anyhow. Not had that one on my fendt to check if it’s the same.

It’s a Muller job computer on the sprayer so all the rate control is handled by that through the isobus. All the sprayer functions work on the tractor, just not the section control

Never used a muller controller but would be worth going through all settings to see if there is a toggle for task controller.
