They had some cattle up at Ferne the rescue place near here and it was actually quite interesting seeing really old steers cos you never normally see them, I think they had the tallest cow in the country at one time though not when we went, they were all well cared for up there though from what I could see.

I had a client one time who had a Cont x steer, as I recall, she had him put down because of Arthritis, must have easily been 12-13 yrs old by then. Something of a character when working there!!

Do you have field nearby @DrDunc ? Might be worth opening it up on a summer evening. You'd be amazed at what some of these places get up to after the turnip and bramble wine starts flowing!. Wealthy men will pay a fortune to watch them dance around!

And even more to "join in"!!

Was a woman on radio last year from near here last yr trying to raise funds for her ”charity” of which she was the sole employee/owner.

She‘d imported, sorry, “rescued” a load of cats or rabbits or something from Eastern Europe and was slowly spending her way to bankruptcy. I texted in saying I hope she went bankrupt but they didn’t read it out.

Just had a look at their page, see theyve "rescued" 17 calves, they're going to be fun when theyve grown up, wont be long until they run out of room that's for certain and a 4 ye aw r old steer doesnt quite have the same cute look a baby calf has so think they'll run out of money eventually, especially when they realise it's not as easy as it looks
that 4 year old steer might be a 4 year old bull! hope its a jersey.

Are they planning on rescuing any sheep? If so, will they shear them? We all know they’ll have to for the animals welfare, but will they:

If they do shear them, what will they do with the wool?
Could make an interesting subject for a documentary.

Be fine if it was possible for vegans and the wokes to have their own little commune, away from this horrible unjust world.

I’d give them about 3 weeks for it to turn into a bloodbath once it becomes apparent to all involved that activism and campaigning doesn’t actually sustain life without benevolence from the very society they seek to destroy.
