Today i popped into Costa for my caffeine fix and some food later afternoon after extornate prices at the Cheshire show (£9 for a hotdog!!!!).
I mistakenly picked up a vegan ham and cheese sandwich... They heated it up. It had zero taste. God knows what it was made of??? Will happily eat veggie when out on a good restraunt as they are normally full of flavour...

Funnily enough a vegan/vegetarian cafe in our local rural town has posted on Facebook today that since they made their menu fully vegan/vegetarian, their sales have dropped. Several comments underneath suggest that there should be non vegan options in the same way that 'normal' cafes have vegan/veg alternatives. There are a number of cafes in the town so I guess people have voted with their feet.

Why do some farmers get in such a flap about it ,live and let live
Says A cyclist !! We all know that animals produce manure which helps keep a healthy balanced soil for the grass seeds you sell !!,Also most normal restaurants have a token veggie meal/meals where as vegan or veggie Do not!! Simples, YOU pay your money and TAKE your choice

The name of the cafe does imply that it's a vegan establishment & therefore it's a bit disingenuous to then have a non-vegan menu - although vegan businesses have been doing much the same with their product namings for years!

On the flip side, I love the line "That goes against the purpose of veganism and animal liberation" - er no, it goes against your interpretation of what veganism is about... not everyone is vegan for the same reasons!

Generally I don't get in a flap about it, and would eat in one if I happened to end up there, but I have once walked out before ordering from what turned out to be a vegan cafe when I spotted anti farming mugs for sale... Food is one thing but pushing political messages is another.

To be fair, I don’t think they’d want to take the risk of having the smell of sizzling bacon wafting through the cafe full of their followers.

If they all offered a proper bacon sarnie, we could orchestrate a campaign where we all went in and ordered one every day. The vegan cult would be all but eradicated within a fortnight.😂
