Fact is if we all carry on with all aspects of our lives as we have done over the last few hundred years we are going to screw this planet fast
That's like saying we all need to reduce our speed even those of us not breaking the speed limit!

Why should those of us that have been doing our bit do more so that others have to do less!

You switch to your intensive chicken from beef, while I will continue to consume my grass sequestrating beef rather than tastless cheap chicken reared in days on imported proteins from rainforests!

So you don't buy the argument that regeneratively farmed ruminants can be carbon positive (ie save the planet)?

I do believe that yes based on what knowledge I have but most beef a not produced that way and certainly not the kind of beef imported from USA or South America etc

As I say I will only buy UK grass-fed on the future and the reduction is more because I feel I currently eat more than is really ideal for best health

I'm not switching to intensively farmed anything - the opposite in fact

You should be happy - I'm saying I will only buy meat from farmers like you in the future .......... market well and charge me more!

At last a chance for you to step out of your competition of cheap imported meat and charge an amount that will make you a better living

so you are never going to get on a plane again, stop using electricity and cycle everywhere etc ?

We are ALL hypocrites ........... yes you as well !
Haven't been on a plane in a year and before that 2 years previous.
I use renewable electricity,
And all journeys are planned to minimise fuel usage and save money!

We all know consumers say nice things, but they don't all do it!

Conventional farmers don't like the organic marketing! ?

Organic market is still in growth.?
But "organic" produces less food per acre than conventional. So how can you say it's better for the environment?

Oh sorry, forgot, "organic" adherents don't have to prove anything, like that their products are any better, tastier, healthier (for man or beast) than conventional. Just like vegans and XR really-just keep repeating the unprovable and some suckers will believe it

While your brain represents about 2-3% of your total body weight, 25% of the cholesterol in your body is found in your brain, where it plays important roles in such things as membrane function, acts as an antioxidant, and serves as the raw material from which we are able to make things like progesterone, estrogen, and we all know what happens if those go sideways.....
The latest research shows that a fairly high level of cholesterol in older people helps the old brain to keep working.
So I will continue to eat butter, and fatty meat.

And the turkeys here have a fairly interesting day tomorrow....:mask:
