Vehicles stuck coursing. East Worcestershire.

Unfortunately these vehicles belong to somebody so cannot be damaged in any way, Ive had a similar experience (granted, in Scotland) and plod told me it was a civil case as the vehicles had been left on private ground and they wouldn't be getting involved.

The reality is we all know who these cars belong to and that they wont be back for them. If they aren't reported stolen (highley unlikely) I would weigh them in and put the money toward the hire of a mini digger so you can repair the damage. Any other way, like involving the authorities, is going to be like banging your head against a brick wall.

Your first paragraph is true however you cant officially scrap someone else's vehicle without it being traceable back to you, not a smart move.

@solo what was the outcome?

I jjust revisited his Facebook page and there are no updates so I have no idea, but I guess due to the above mentioned reasons,no one is going to post an admission to surgically removing them.
The one I had on my field in the today at work thread, vanished one night by someone cutting the fence to gain access to remove said vehicle. Police have been absolutely useless so next time I won’t even bother speaking to them.

Does anyone ever go after the coursers.having had them here in the last 3 weeks making a mess in growing wheat I’ve spoken to a few neighbors who have had visits and they have all said to leave them too it.one mention a farmer being threatened with handguns and another said he knew of someone who went after them only to get home and find his dog nailed to the front door.probably plenty of fires and machine damage too I’d imagine.i mentioned all this to a policeman on Friday after an incident helping a friend get his stuff from his home after his Mrs moved another lover in but that’s a different story,anyway copper said they go after them if men are available and they had caught one recently and the dogs too.id imagine if the coursers got to court they would get a slap on the wrist and a small fine and then carry on again.

Was a group round here, quite prevalent for yr or 2. Police were quite good to be fair, took their time gathering evidence, coming round with photo fits. They even managed to pull them heading away thru town after a phone call, but as they weren’t in the act couldn’t do much more than ask questions.

Long story short, in the paper last yr, 2 of them sent t prison and others banned from keeping certain types of dogs. Touch wood not been any going about for a while .

How can they ban then from keeping certain dogs, when get out, they will just get some more and carry on as before, not like the police are ever going to know where they are living

Massive problem in south Lincs and north Cambs. Damage to fields, crops, gates, basically anything that gets in their way will be smashed through. Luckily both police forces are now gearing up with proper rural crime teams and going after these hare coursers. There was, for example, a big police pursuit today ending with 9 men arrested, 5 dogs seized and 2 cars seized. Armed police and drones involved.
